Anarc Smartwatch

Initial Setup Recommendation: After unboxing the watch, it is recommended to charge it for at least 15 minutes. Once charged, disconnect the watch from the charger, press the crown button once to wake the screen, then go to the Settings app > scroll down to System > tap on Reset > and confirm by selecting OK.

This will perform a factory reset. After the reset, charge the device fully to 100%, then connect your smartwatch to the Layers app and ensure you update your Anarc watch to the latest firmware version available.

Not a Medical Device: The Anarc smartwatch and its health-tracking features (Heart Rate, SpO2, Stress, etc.) are designed for general fitness and wellness purposes only. It is not a certified medical device and should not be used for medical diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of any disease.

Data Accuracy & Influencing Factors: All health and activity data are estimates. Accuracy can be significantly affected by:

• The fit of the watch on your wrist (it should be snug but not tight).
  
• Your individual movements and the intensity of your activity.
  
• Tattoos on the wrist area can interfere with the heart rate sensor’s light absorption, leading to inaccurate readings for Heart Rate, SpO2, and Stress levels.

Optical Sensor Behaviour: The heart rate sensor uses light to detect readings. It may occasionally produce a reading on non-human surfaces (like fabrics, fruits, or stone) that have certain reflective or skin-like textures. This is a known behaviour of optical sensors and not a device malfunction.

Skin Care & Irritation: While our straps are designed with hypoallergenic materials, skin irritation can sometimes occur due to trapped moisture, sweat, or prolonged, tight wear. We recommend keeping your wrist and the watch clean and dry. If you experience any persistent rashes or irritation, please discontinue use and consult a dermatologist.

Water Resistance (IP68): Your watch has an IP68 rating, making it resistant to dust and splashes. It can withstand brief submersion in fresh water. However, to preserve the integrity of the device, we do not recommend using it while swimming, diving, in a hot shower, or during heavy rain. Water damage is not covered under warranty.

Charging & Device Temperature: It is normal for the watch to become warm during wireless charging, partly due to the heat-dissipating properties of its stainless steel body. If the watch feels excessively hot to the touch, please unplug it, allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes, and then resume charging. If overheating persists, contact our support team immediately.

Strap Recommendations: The magnetic strap is designed for convenience in daily use. For intense activities like running or gym workouts, we highly recommend using a more secure option like the silicone or fluoroelastomer strap to prevent the watch from accidentally falling off.

The metal strap is best suited for lifestyle and casual wear. It adds a premium aesthetic for daily use or formal occasions, but it is not recommended for workouts or high-movement activities, as it may impact fit and data accuracy during exercise.

Music Storage: The watch includes internal storage for music and watch faces (approximately 30MB of shared space). The number of songs you can store depends on the file size (e.g., around 10–15 songs of 2–3MB each). Only the MP3 file format is supported.

Note: This feature is available only on Android devices. Due to iOS privacy policies and platform restrictions, music transfer is not supported on iPhones.

Workout Distance (Non-GPS): This watch does not have a built-in GPS sensor. The distance displayed in workout modes is an estimate calculated based on your step count and calibrated arm movements. This estimated distance will not match the actual distance measured by a GPS device.

Battery Life Estimates: Our battery life tests are conducted under laboratory conditions. Actual performance will vary based on your personal usage patterns, including:

• Normal Usage: Up to 7 days.
• With Always-On Display (AOD): Up to 2 days.
• In Power Saving Mode: Up to 14 days

Bluetooth Connectivity: For a stable connection, keep your smartphone within a 10-meter (32-foot) range of your watch. Physical obstacles like walls can disrupt or weaken the Bluetooth signal.

Third-Party App Sync (e.g., Apple Health): When syncing data to services like Apple Health, you may notice discrepancies. This is because platforms like Apple Health often merge data from both your phone’s sensors and your watch’s sensors to create a combined total. Therefore, the data in the Layers app and the third-party app may not match perfectly. This is expected behavior.

PIN Lock & Wear Detection: The Auto-Lock feature secures your watch when you are not wearing it. The watch scans for your skin every few seconds to detect if it’s being worn.

• When locked, notifications and call reminders will not be displayed.
• You will be prompted for your PIN once when you put it back on.Note: Metal or loose-fitting magnetic straps can create a gap between the sensor and your skin, which may interfere with wear detection and cause the watch to lock unexpectedly.

Software Updates & Bug Reporting: We are committed to continuously improving your Anarc experience through regular firmware updates. If you encounter any software bugs or inaccuracies, please report them to our customer support team. Your feedback is essential for future enhancements.

Device Compatibility: Ensure your Android phone is running Android 9.0 or higher and your Apple phone is running iOS 13.0 or higher for compatibility with Apple Health.

Weather Updates: If the weather information on your Anarc watch is not refreshing automatically, please note that the Layers app is designed to update location-based weather data every 30 minutes. In case of delays or missed updates, you can manually refresh the weather by opening the Weather section in the Layers app. This will trigger a sync and update the weather details on your Anarc watch.

Upcoming Features via OTA: Features including Pin Lock, AOD Scheduling, Quick Menu Second Page, Screen Lock during Workout Mode, and smooth in/out animations for app transitions are being provided through Over-The-Air (OTA) updates. Upcoming features such as Customizable Side Screen and Custom Watchfaces will be made available in future OTA updates. The rollout timeline for these updates will be shared on our official website.
